COE prices end higher for all except small cars
Certificate of Entitlement (COE) prices closed higher for all categories except for small cars.
In the exercise ended Wednesday, Category B prices for cars above 1,600cc crossed the $80,000 mark, closing at $80,710. In the previous exercise that ended 19 February, it closed at $78,604.
Open category COE prices ended $3,000 higher than they did at the previous exercise, closing on Wednesday at $82,000.
Prices for motorcycles rose to $4,001, despite having a higher quota than they did in the previous exercise, where prices closed at $3,501.
With a reduction in quota, Category C for goods vehicles and buses also saw an increment in premiums from $52,890 to $56,302.
Meanwhile, small car COE prices saw a reprieve, dipping slightly from $77,201 to $76,999 on Wednesday.
